The Armed Forces of Ukraine hunted down four more S-300s and a rare ballistic missile detection radar

The 9C19 ‘Ginger’ radar is part of the S-300B air defense system, which is extremely rare even in the Russian Federation, which is designed to destroy ballistic missiles

The Ukrainian military continues to successfully hunt and reduce the ‘population’ of Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, which the Russian army uses for terrorist attacks on cities. Over the last day, four enemy S-300 air defense systems were destroyed in the southern regions of Ukraine.

Moreover, the 9C19 ‘Ginger’ radar was destroyed with them, which is part of the S-300B air defense system and is primarily intended for the detection of ballistic missiles, the Operational Command ‘South’ reported.

‘It was definitely established that 39 rocket launchers, 4 S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems, the Ginger radar station, the Voloshka 82-caliber automatic mortar, and 9 units of armored and automotive equipment were removed from the enemy’s ranks,’ – the OC said in a statement. ‘South’.

It should be noted that the Ginger radar is an extremely valuable trophy because the S-300B complex, which, despite its name, is almost completely different from the S-300P and was created primarily as a means of anti-missile defense against Pershing-type ballistic missiles, is extremely rare even in Russian Federation According to available data, the Rashi army has only about 20 S-300B anti-aircraft missile systems, each of which includes one 9C19 ‘Ginger’ radar.

This radar has the ability to detect ballistic targets of the Pershing type at a range of 75 to 175 km and was actually the main element that provided the anti-missile capabilities of the entire S-300B complex.

Also, the attempt to use the S-300B, or its element in the form of the 9C19 ‘Ginger’, in the south is connected with the fact that it was thanks to it that the Russians, most likely, tried to localize the HIMARS launches for the fastest return fire. But, as practice has shown, to no avail.
