The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a rare Nona-K howitzer in action – less than 200 such guns were produced
Ukrainian servicemen showed rare footage of the use of the almost unique, though not advanced, Nona-K howitzer.
The installation first entered service with the USSR in 1986. Currently, it is used by the Russian and Ukrainian armies. With a high probability, the video shows the operation of the gun that was captured because the Ukrainian Armed Forces had only two copies of Nona-K. Only 188 howitzers were produced in total.
‘Nona-K’ is a 120-mm artillery system developed in the city of Perm. The firing range is 13 km when using active-reactive projectiles. An artillery installation can fire ten shots per minute.
