The Armed Forces will receive five NATO-type Fly Eye unmanned systems worth ₴110,000,000
The ‘Army of Drones’ project, along with 78 DJI Matrice 300 RTK quadcopters, bought five NATO-type Fly Eye unmanned aerial systems.
Fly Eye drones were used by special units of the Polish army. The price of one unmanned aircraft complex is ₴22,000,000 ($600,000). It consists of two drones worth ₴5,800,000 ($158,000) and a control station.
Currently, five complexes have been purchased for the amount of ₴110,000,000 ($3,000,000). One of them is already in Ukraine. Four more aviation complexes will arrive every week, one at a time.
Fly Eye is launched by hand and can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h. The radius of use of the unmanned aerial vehicle is 50 km. The maximum working height is 4 km. The drone has a length of 1.9 m and a wingspan of 23.6 m.
