Almost immediately after the start of sales, two Toyota bZ4X were involved in an accident in the USA and were put up for auction.
At the end of July, two new Japanese Toyota bZ4X electric cars appeared at the American auto insurance auction Copart. We are talking about two Toyota bZ4X, but their damage is different.
The lot with the gray Toyota bZ4X was published first. Unfortunately, the car, worth 55 thousand US dollars, managed to drive only 2194 km before the accident.
The circumstances of the accident are not known, but its consequences are obvious. The front part of the car was completely destroyed – the impact was so strong that the hood crumpled far up. Apparently, the accident damaged the power plant because a strange warning appeared on the instrument panel that before getting out of the car, it should be put into parking.
The second instance, a red bZ4X worth $66,000, suffered much less damage. After the accident, only the front bumper of the car was essentially damaged. And its mileage is less – 968 km.
Both cars are Toyota bZ4X in XLE trim. But their power plants are different: the gray crossover is front-wheel drive (one electric motor), and the red one is with a 4×4 wheel formula (two motors), the battery is the same – 71.4 kWh).
Bidding in both cases is only expected, but we can already say that the red electric car will find a new owner quickly, although it will not be so cheap. But with the gray bZ4X, everything is not so clear, because it is difficult to say whether it is subject to restoration or not.
