The first photos and videos of the ruptured Nord Stream-1 pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea have appeared
Operators of a deep-sea drone from the Norwegian company Blueye Robotics reached one of the rupture points of the Nord Stream-1 gas pipeline at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and showed the first pictures of the leak site.
According to the authors of the pictures, the pipe was damaged at a depth of 75-76 meters.
“On the seabed, we removed the remains of the pipe torn by the explosion,” one of the “divers” Matthias Karlsson wrote on Twitter.
One of the shots shows an almost even break in the gas pipeline, as if the pipe had been sawed in two.

On October 14, Germany discovered an eight-meter hole in the Nord Stream pipes.
We will remind, on the evening of September 26, 2022, the operators of the PP-1 and PP-2 gas pipelines reported a drop in pressure on three out of four lines. A gas leak was detected at two locations in the Baltic Sea near the island of Bornholm. Seismologists registered underwater explosions on gas pipeline routes, the first at 02:03, the second at 19:04. The CIA warned Germany about the threat of attacks on gas pipelines a few weeks before them. Bild writes that submarines or drones of the GRU could have carried out the sabotage at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. In the evening of September 28, the fourth location of the pipe rupture was discovered.
NATO is increasing its presence in the Baltic and North Seas after sabotage of gas pipelines.
