The first spy photos of the Skoda Superb wagon have appeared

The next-generation Skoda Superb will make its debut in the second half of 2023. Obviously, there will be two body versions: a liftback and a station wagon.

The next-generation Skoda Superb will make its debut in the second half of 2023. The Czech brand is currently testing the new model in hot weather in Southern Europe. This series of photos shows only the station wagon, but previous photos show that a liftback variant will also be available.

This new Superb is still under heavy camouflage, but we can see a few things. There are square headlights with running lights below. The grille has long-used vertical slats. The bottom panel includes air curtains on the outer edges and a central inlet with a narrow strip dividing it horizontally.

In profile, the station wagon looks particularly long, and the beveled D-pillar adds to the aesthetics of elegance. The side windows are large and should provide plenty of light into the cabin. The Superb rides on black wheels with V-shaped spokes.

Looking out the windows, you can see the black fabric that covers the dashboard. This means that Skoda doesn’t want us to see anything. In previous spy shots, you could see a large screen on the center panel and a digital instrument cluster.

The Superb will be based on the same updated MQB platform as the next-generation Volkswagen Passat. However, the VW will be available only as a station wagon. These models will also be among the latest new VW Group offerings available with gasoline and diesel engines, in addition to hybrid options.

The exact timing of the new Superb’s debut remains a mystery, but Skoda is already running a teaser campaign for the model. Since 2001, the brand has delivered more than 1.55 million vehicles bearing this name.

The future of Skoda is electric. The automaker wants to have six electric vehicles in its lineup by 2026. They will include the compact Elroq, the second-generation Enyaq and the Enyaq Coupe, as well as an entry-level model to be developed by SEAT.
