The Armed Forces already use the IRIS-T air defense system received from Germany in the south of Ukraine.
This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Yuriy Ignat in a single telethon, reports RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, the IRIS-T modification, which was transferred to Ukraine, is not yet available in the world.
“There is no IRIS in the world yet, Germany is the first to deliver it to Ukraine. And this system is already working in the Armed Forces somewhere in the southern direction,” the message says.
He also reminded about the NASAMS complexes, which the Ukrainian military should receive soon.
It is noted that the Air Force is waiting for the remaining systems that Germany plans to supply.
We will remind that on October 11, Ukraine already received the first IRIS-T installation from Germany.
