The IRIS-T complex transferred to the Armed Forces exists in a single copy
Germany handed over the modernized IRIS-T complex to the Armed Forces. In this version, it was released in a single copy. No army in the world has anything similar. Yuriy Ignat from ZSU reported this during a speech on Suspilny TV.
According to him, the German air defense system can boast of having a powerful radar. IRIS-T operates in automatic mode. As a result, the probability of error due to the human factor is reduced to zero. The German complex is capable of intercepting air targets within a radius of 40 kilometers from itself.
Speaking about the results of IRIS-T’s work in Ukraine, Ignat emphasized that they are quite good. The complex supplied by the Germans allows solving specific combat tasks.
Last Saturday, the occupiers launched 37 cruise missiles. Most of it was intercepted, in particular with the help of IRIS-T. After the massive attack, Mykhailo Podolyak appealed to the German government to provide missiles for the IRIS-T complex. According to the official, their expenditure is very high. The projectiles must be handed over to the Armed Forces as soon as possible. The account goes literally to the bottom.
