The largest software developer completely leaves Russia and Belarus
German industrial software developer SAP has confirmed previously published information about the complete cessation of its work in Russia and Belarus. The personnel restructuring program will begin in June and end by the end of 2022, – reports the Russian Kommersant.
“SAP will provide severance pay to employees in all departments in Russia and Belarus. Each employee can apply for a position in SAP offices abroad,” – SAP.
The company’s offices will continue to operate in the CIS countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The company was one of the largest suppliers of specialized industrial software in the Russian market, with a share of about 60%. SAP cooperated with large companies, including Russian Railways, Rosatom, and Lukoil.
