The Russians were expelled from the Large Hadron Collider project
The civilized world does not want to have anything to do with Russia
The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has announced its intention to suspend cooperation with Russia and Belarus.
Earlier, the CERN Council temporarily closed Russians’ access to the Large Andron Collider after listening to requests from Ukrainian scientists. It was not announced at the time how long these restrictions would last.
Now, in addition to temporarily banning Russian researchers from accessing the facilities of the Particle Physics Research Center near Geneva, Switzerland, whose flagship is the Large Hadron Collider, CERN’s council has made a new decision. They decided to completely stop cooperating with Russian and Belarusian scientists, starting in 2024, when the current agreements are coming to an end.
“CERN was established after World War II to unite nations and peoples for peaceful science.
