The situation in the Black Sea has changed: what is happening

Eight Kalibrs remain in the water.

The situation in the Black Sea has changed, with the Russian army removing two of the four missile carriers from the water.

According to the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy left eight ships on combat duty in the Black Sea. It is noted that two Russian surface missile carriers are currently in their basing points.

“Two submarines equipped with up to eight Kalibr missiles continue to maintain a very high missile threat level. Be attentive to air raid warning signals and take cover as soon as possible!” the military emphasized.

Missile danger

As UNIAN reported, on Saturday morning, the Ukrainian military warned of an extremely high level of missile threat – the Russian invaders deployed four missile carriers into the Black Sea. The enemy’s naval grouping in the waters increased to 7 units, in particular by increasing the presence of missile carriers. There were two surface and two submarine missile launchers on combat duty – a frigate was added to the small missile boat, and the total volley of Kalibr missiles amounted to 22 units.

The day before, on January 26, four Russian ships were on duty in the Black Sea – two submarine missile carriers and a small missile boat. They were equipped with 16 Kalibr missiles.

Over the past few weeks, the Russian occupation forces have not used Kalibr missiles to attack Ukraine, although they used them much more frequently in the past. However, experts warn that we should not relax.
