The tax authorities started checking online stores. Monitor Facebook and Instagram
During inspections in September-October, the State Tax Service revealed numerous facts of online sales without state registration and use of cash registers/PTRs. This also applies to the sale of goods through Facebook and Instagram, the press service of the Tax Service reported.
In particular:
- an online store in Kyiv was selling Apple equipment without using cash registers/PTRs and issuing the relevant payment documents;
- in Kyiv region, an online store sold cosmetics on the Prom.ua platform through the LiqPay money transfer service without using a payment transaction recorder and issuing a check;
- In Khmelnytsky region, eight cases of online trading without registration and payment of taxes were recorded, and the offenders were fined;
- In Zhytomyr, an online store sold power tools, although the seller was not registered as a sole proprietor;
- In Dnipropetrovs’k region, tax authorities will check 100 websites selling goods.
The tax authority reminded that trading without state registration is punishable by a fine of up to UAH 85,000 with confiscation of products, tools, raw materials and money obtained as a result of an administrative violation.
If it is not possible to identify the traders and the addresses from which the goods are shipped, the tax authorities contact the police.
