The drone has an increased take-off weight of up to 27 kg. This allows ‘Orlan-30’ to carry up to 8 kg of payload. For example, a camera with electronic-optical image stabilization, devices for radio-electronic reconnaissance and bearing, means for measuring the radiation background, etc. Such a UAV can be used as a laser target-pointing-rangefinder. That is, the drone is able to illuminate targets. The maximum flight speed of ‘Orlan-30’ reaches 150 km/h. It can fly up to 300 km and stay in the air for up to 5 hours.
