The Ukrainian military showed an episode of combat use of the Avenger self-propelled air defense system (video)
The Department of Strategic Communications of the Ukrainian General Staff has released a demonstration video of the combat operation of the American Avenger air defense system, which is at the disposal of the 1129th Bila Tserkva Air Defense Regiment.
According to a report published on the official tg-channel of the agency, the Avenger air defense system was deployed to protect the airspace of Northern Ukraine in April 2023. This was preceded by training in calculations in Germany.
Avenger, according to the Ukrainian military, demonstrates exceptional effectiveness in the fight against Shahid drones and missiles thanks to its well-chosen armament in the form of 8 Stinger missiles and a 12.7 mm machine gun. The American-made mobile air defense system can also be used to combat helicopters and low-flying aircraft.
