This decision allows Ukraine to increase exports of goods that have traditionally been imported into the British market.
The United Kingdom has announced trade liberalization and the abolition of all duties and quotas on exports of goods from Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economy.
“Trade liberalization is a common contribution of Ukraine and Britain in the fight against the impending global food crisis. We will be able to ensure food security where it is threatened today by Russian aggression,” – said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yulia Sviridenko.
Thanks to this decision, Ukraine will be able to increase exports of traditional items imported to the British market – flour, grain, dairy products, poultry, semifinished products, tomato paste, honey, corn, wheat, juices, mushrooms, sugar and more.
The agency also clarified that Ukrainian industrial products already enjoy a duty-free trade regime.
Ukraine will be able to more flexibly plan export logistics and in the future increase exports of high value-added goods, the Ministry of Economy added.
According to Svyridenko, exports will stimulate industrial development, increase production and their integration into world trade chains.
