The Lucid Air Sapphire electric car is equipped with a 1200-horsepower unit. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes less than 2 seconds, and the sedan’s top speed is 330 km/h.
The Lucid Air 2024 line has finally been joined by the top sporty Sapphire version. The powerful electric car was presented a year ago, but only now has it reached the assembly line. This was reported on the official Twitter page of Lucid Motors.
The new Lucid Air Sapphire is positioned as a competitor to the top-of-the-line Tesla Model S Plaid. It turned out to be even more powerful than its rival – its three motors produce a total of 1200 hp. с.
The Lucid Air Sapphire electric car accelerates to 100 km/h in 1.89 seconds and to 160 km/h in 3.87 seconds. The vehicle can accelerate to ¼ mile (402 m) from a standstill in 9 seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h.
The revised suspension and steering are designed to improve handling. Carbon-ceramic brakes are responsible for deceleration.
The Sapphire version differs from the standard Lucid Air 2024 by a carbon fiber body kit and spoiler, as well as 20-inch wheels with 265/35 R20 tires in the front and 295/30 R21 tires in the rear.
The Lucid Air interior is decorated with leather and alcantara. There are also sports chairs with electric drive, ventilation and massage inside. The price of the Lucid Air Sapphire starts at $249,000.
