The US and UK explain why Ukraine does not shoot down drones like Israel
The United States has refused to take part in the war in Ukraine, so it will not shoot down Iranian drones launched by Russia. This was announced by John Kirby, Strategic Communications Coordinator for the White House National Security Council.
Journalists asked a representative of Joe Biden’s team why the United States, which helped shoot down Iranian drones in Israel, does not want to help Ukraine during Russian attacks.
Look, these are different conflicts, different airspace, different threat patterns. The President has made it clear since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine that the United States does not plan to participate in the conflict by taking on a combat role, and we have not done so.

The White House representative pointed out that official Washington had provided Ukraine with what it needed to protect its airspace.
Unfortunately, we cannot do this today, as we do not have the additional funding for national security that Ukrainians need,” he explained.
How the UK comments on this situation
Unlike Israel, which London helped shoot down Iranian drones last weekend, his country cannot help Ukraine shoot down Russian drones, British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said.
I think the difficulty is that… if you want to avoid an expansion of the war in Europe, I think the one thing you need to avoid is a direct clash between NATO troops and Russian troops. This would be a danger of escalation,” said the British Foreign Secretary.
He pointed out that Ukraine now needs new air defense systems, including Patriot, which the UK does not have.
