The US will transfer four more M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers to Ukraine

The Secretary of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin, said that four more M142 HIMARS MLRS will go to Ukraine. The head of the Pentagon did not say anything about the transfer of ATACMS missiles, which can hit targets at a distance of up to 300 km.

Thus, the total number of HIMARS rocket launcher systems sent to Ukraine will increase to 16 units. Furthermore, the new military aid package will include additional 155 mm rockets and shells for artillery. Details are expected soon.
We will remind that at the beginning of July, Ukraine had eight M142 HIMARS MLRS. After the NATO summit, the US announced the transfer of four more jet systems. The Armed Forces also received three M270 MLRS.
