The USA began preparing for the transfer of the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex to Ukraine

At the end of December, the United States of America announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which included the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system. Currently, the Americans have begun preparing the air defense system for transfer.

The information was shared by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, during a briefing for the Ukrainian mass media. According to Kuleba, the deployment of Patriot in Ukraine is planned to be carried out in a very short period of time. Previously, it was said that the Armed Forces could receive anti-aircraft missiles no earlier than February.

The MIM-104 Patriot is an American anti-aircraft missile system developed by Raytheon. It consists of an air intercept missile and a high-performance radar system. The probability of hitting an aircraft is 0.8-0.9, and a tactical missile is 0.6-0.8. The cost of one missile is about 3 million dollars. By the way, Ukraine should receive one air defense missile battery so far.
