“There will be a lot of Shaheeds”: the Russian defense industry is increasing production of Iranian drones

According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Russian defense industry is increasing production of kamikaze UAVs to attack targets in Ukraine.

This was announced by Yuriy Ihnat on the air of the telethon.

Intelligence has information that Shahed-136 production will soon be increased even further. The Kremlin has decided to rely on kamikaze UAVs, as they are much cheaper to assemble than missiles.

A spokesperson for the Armed Forces of Ukraine claims that Russia cannot produce Shakhtya on its own. The occupiers failed to localize their production by 100%. In this regard, some components are still purchased in Iran. Ignat believes that Iran will continue to supply Russia with components that it cannot produce on its own.

Ukraine’s allies have shifted their focus to anti-drone systems. It is very expensive to shoot down Shahids with anti-aircraft missiles. In winter, air defense assets will be concentrated around energy facilities.
