They want to protect Kyiv from Iranian and Russian drones with the help of the Muromets dome
Canadians from Dragan Fly and international donors will help
Recently, Kyiv region was attacked for the first time by Iranian-made kamikaze drones, which damaged three infrastructure buildings in Bila Tserkva. Therefore, the Kyiv authorities, together with foreign specialists, are developing a project to protect the Ukrainian capital from UAVs.
The solution to the problem can be a special protective dome called ‘Muromets’ with a powerful network of anti-drone direction finders-interceptors. It is capable of preventing and countering Russian attacks by martyr drones.
The Canadian concern for the production of drones ‘Dragan Fly’ is ready to implement this project and create a protective dome. Its president, Cameron Chell, visited Kyiv and discussed the details with representatives of the Kyiv authorities. The members of the Ukrainian-Canadian working group are ready to involve about 2,000 IT specialists in the implementation of the project.
At the same time, the financing of the project does not involve budget costs – the dome will be created with the funds of international donors.
The project will be presented during the National Defense Hackathon, which will be held in Kyiv on October 19-21 with the support of NATO. This initiative will also be discussed at the International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in Berlin on October 25.
