“They will not hide even in the forest”: Ukrainian Armed Forces blow up occupants’ new T-90M “Breakthrough” tank (video)
Aerial reconnaissance men tracked down the armored vehicles among the trees, after which the artillerymen delivered accurate shells. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Russians have already lost 21 Breakthrough tanks.
Ukrainian troops destroyed the best Russian T-90M “Breakthrough” tank in the Luhansk sector. The video of the attack was shared on Facebook by the 45th separate artillery brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Aerial reconnaissance men from the 100th Territorial Defense Brigade discovered armored vehicles hidden in the middle of the forest and passed its coordinates to the artillery. Soldiers of the 45th Brigade delivered several precision strikes, which caused the tank to explode and burn.
“45th Airborne Brigade in cooperation with the aerial reconnaissance of the 100th Brigade of the TRO. Luhansk direction. Minus a tank. You can’t hide from us even in a dense forest,” reported representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The T-90M Breakthrough is the latest modification of the T-90 tank, which is a direct successor to the T-72. According to the Russians, the T-90M received a protected tower, new dynamic protection “Relict” and a number of other improvements. Before Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian Armed Forces had about 100 tanks of the “Breakthrough” version.
According to a report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, from February 24, 2022, to June 3, 2023, the Russian army has already lost 3,829 tanks. Over the last day alone, losses amounted to 10 combat vehicles. According to the Oryx research project, Ukrainian troops damaged or destroyed at least 19 Breakthroughs, and two more were captured as trophies.
