Trump: We had to “negotiate” and give up part of Ukraine’s territory

Former U.S. President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should have “negotiated” with the terrorist state of Russia to surrender its sovereign territory.

In an interview with NBC , Trump repeated his assertions that the US presidential election was “rigged” and that if he had not lost, “Ukraine [Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine] would not have happened.” He also claimed that if he were president, he would “negotiate” a “fair deal for everyone.”

“There were certain parts, Crimea and other parts of the country, where many expected this to happen. They could have made a deal. They could have agreed on a smaller territory than the one that Russia has already seized, to be honest. And they could have made a deal where no one would have been killed,” Trump said.

He also echoed Russian propaganda narratives, saying that “now no one even knows whether Ukraine will be completely captured” and that “the news no longer talks about the war… and this means that Ukraine is losing.”

Trump has repeatedly stated that he will “get” Russia’s war against Ukraine to end in 24 hours if he is re-elected president. He also said that he would “allow” Russia to take over parts of Ukraine and that the US was giving Ukraine too many weapons.
