Two attacks in half an hour: Russians drop SU-34 guided bombs on Kherson, city has power and water shortages
On Sunday, October 15, Russians attacked Kherson twice, 30 minutes apart. They dropped guided bombs from SU-34 fighters. The city has lost power and there are interruptions in water supply.
Roman Mrochko, head of the Kherson City Military Administration, reported on the air strikes on Kherson. He wrote on his Telegram channel that there were two powerful explosions.
“There was a powerful explosion in Kherson. Immediately afterwards, electricity was cut off in some parts of the city, and there are water outages. The information is being clarified. Wait for official reports,” Mrochko wrote.
He later clarified that there were two strikes half an hour apart. The enemy attacks the city from airplanes. There is no information about the victims.
“About an hour ago, 30 minutes apart, the Russian military from SU-34 conducted an air strike, preliminary 2 KABs, in the area of a critical infrastructure facility in Kherson. Russia continues to terrorize the civilian population of the community,” informed Mrochko.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported that due to the power outage in Kherson, the local station is switching to backup power. The shockwave also damaged the vestibules of car 11 of the Kherson-Kyiv train #102, but all passengers are safe.
Terror of the Kherson region
According to local authorities, Kherson city territorial community was shelled 27 times over the past day. The Russians used 129 shells to attack civilians. Damage was recorded in Kherson, Antonivka, Inzhenerne and Sadove. Naddnipryanske suffered the most, as it was hit by mortars. There were no casualties in the Kherson sector over the last day as a result of Russian hostile attacks.
