Ukraine and Sweden to jointly produce “the world’s best” CV-90 armored vehicle for the Armed Forces (video)
Ukraine signed an agreement with Sweden on joint production of modern CV-90 infantry fighting vehicles. The goal of the cooperation is to provide the Ukrainian Armed Forces with 1,000 Swedish armored vehicles.
This was stated by Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar in her Telegram channel.
According to Malyar, the CV-90 infantry fighting vehicle is considered “the best in the world.” She noted that this armored vehicle embodies all the main achievements for this class of equipment. The main advantage of the CV-90 is its ability to provide the maximum level of protection for the crew (three people) and the troops (up to eight people).
Combat Vehicle 90 (CV90 or CV-90) is a family of combat vehicles that has been in service with the Swedish Army since 1993. The BMPs are equipped with a 40-mm cannon and have armor that provides protection against 30-mm shells. The Swedish army currently has more than 500 of these combat vehicles.
