Ukraine has already received 15 multi-purpose robots manufactured by THeMIS (photo, video)
Ukraine has been an operator of THeMIS robots since last fall. The Defense Forces have 15 such platforms in service.
THeMIS is a robotic platform created by the Estonian company Milrem Robotics. Ukraine uses robots to evacuate the wounded, set mines, clear territories, and conduct reconnaissance.
There are also combat modifications of THeMIS. For example, in September, the Estonian robotic platform became the first European weapon system in history to be equipped with kamikaze drones created in the UAE.
The robot is built on a tracked chassis and can move at a speed of 20 km/h. Its weight is 1630 kg. In addition to UAE-made drones, THeMIS can be armed with launchers for the use of Israeli Hero 120 UAVs.
At the end of last summer, Spain became the 13th country to order THeMIS. Eight NATO member states are now operators of Estonian robots.
