Ukraine has successfully tested analogs of Lancet drones – Fedorov

Ukrainian analogs of Russian Lancet drones have successfully passed their first tests, preparing for use in combat, said Deputy Prime Minister for Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on the Diia YouTube channel, writes Ekonomichna Pravda. The tests were conducted with the products of four companies, of which two drones successfully passed the tests.

Fedorov said that in the next few months, it is possible to launch production of up to 100 such drones per month. A distinctive feature of Lancet is its ability to operate at a distance of 30-40 km, while FPV drones are effective at a distance of 10-20 km. In addition, Lancet drones can operate during the day, unlike large quadcopters, which are effective only at night.

These drones are controlled via a video channel, which allows them to accurately aim at a target and adjust their trajectory during an attack. They are also equipped with an automatic target acquisition function that is activated 300-500 meters before the target, allowing autonomous directional adjustment without direct communication with the operator.

Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized the need to create a market for such drones, noting that competition between several products on the market will eventually grow to a dozen companies. He considers this an important step in the development of the technology sector and manufacturing in Ukraine. The next step will be to test the drones in real combat conditions.
