Ukraine started serial production of Dovbush T10 drones

How they operate on the front lines

So far, engineers have only supplied reconnaissance versions to the Armed Forces, but soon they plan to create an impact modification.

Serial production of new reconnaissance drones ‘Dovbush T10’ has begun in Ukraine. The project organizer and co-founder of Monobank, Volodymyr Yatsenko, told the details on the TV channel ‘1+1’.

According to him, developers have been creating an unmanned aircraft almost since the beginning of a full-scale war, and now they have launched the production of UAVs in one of the countries of Europe. For almost six months, they waited for an opportunity to get modern equipment, which allowed them to abandon the purchase of Chinese components and produce their own. As a result, not only the quality of the devices has increased, but also their quantity — now the company produces more than ten drones a day and hands them over to the Armed Forces for free.

‘This is a very serious number, which will certainly be significant for our armed forces,’ said Volodymyr Yatsenko.

He added that the advanced equipment and software made the Dovbush virtually invulnerable to Russian air defense and electronic warfare. However, the Russians can still suppress satellite navigation signals, and then the success of the mission depends entirely on the skill of the operator. The main weakness of the drone is sensitivity to weather conditions (fog, strong wind, frost) and the developers are trying to correct this shortcoming.

Today, ‘Dovbushis’ work along the entire front line. Currently, the Ukrainian military near Bakhmut needs ‘eyes’ that will allow them to detect small subversive groups of the Russian Armed Forces that attack day and night – this is exactly what ‘Dovbush’ should do. The drone is equipped with conventional cameras and thermal imagers for target detection.

‘As for the required number of drones constantly working on the front, my assessment has not changed in recent months – 500-600 UAVs are needed to monitor the territory 24/7. That is, at least one drone per 10 km of the front, which extends to more than a thousand kilometers,’ he emphasized.

As Volodymyr Yatsenko explained, initially the model is intended for reconnaissance missions and adjusting fire, but it can be converted into an attack, the question is how accurately ‘Dovbush’ will be able to attack. If the designers manage to achieve an error of 1-2 meters, the drone will be on the same level as foreign devices. According to Volodymyr Yatsenko, in a few months they will be able to create such a high-precision weapon for the Armed Forces.

Earlier it was written that the ‘invisible’ Ukrainian UAV ‘Elf’ was created in Kharkiv. The military has already tested the drone in combat conditions and found out: it allows you to successfully locate the location of Russian electronic warfare systems.
