Ukraine wants to ban sales of 1C and its analogues: draft law
The Verkhovna Rada registered draft law No. 10186, which proposes to ban the sale of accounting software in Ukraine whose code was created using the language of the aggressor state.
If approved, 1C and its analogs will be banned. The violation is punishable by a fine of 1,000 to 2,000 minimum wages.
At the same time, the authors of the draft law propose to allow the use of such programs purchased before the ban came into effect.
The explanatory note to the document states that the National Security and Defense Council imposed sanctions against 1C developers back in 2017. At the same time, the company’s programs were banned from use in government agencies.
Over the past five years, many domestic and foreign analogs have emerged in Ukraine. However, 1C still dominates the market, the deputies say.
