Ukraine wants to receive 11 additional Zuzana 2 howitzers from Slovakia, the corresponding agreement is expected to be signed, Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy said. Interfax reports.
“I can say that an agreement was signed for 8 self-propelled artillery units, they are already in Ukraine. There is also an agreement between Slovakia, Germany, Denmark and Norway for the supply of 16 more Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery units during the year, which will be paid for by these countries,” he said on online briefing at Ukraine Media Center Odesa on Wednesday.
The minister emphasized that Slovakia is working on this and will continue the supply of self-propelled guns this year.
“Recently, I received information that there is a request from the Ukrainian side for 11 more of these howitzers, we are waiting for the signing of the agreement. We are working closely with representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, they visited us last week. I hope that we will be able to reach an agreement,” he noted Nad

Zuzana 2 is a Slovak self-propelled artillery installation, which is a modification of the Dana self-propelled gun. It is built on a TATRA 8×8 wheeled chassis. The machine is equipped with a 155-mm howitzer with a barrel length of 52 calibers and a maximum firing range of 41 km. The weight of the howitzer is 32 tons. The installation is equipped with an automatic charging system that allows you to fire 6 shots per minute. Zuzana 2 is operated by a crew of four. By the way, one such ACS costs about €7,000,000.
