Ukrainian Alfa-Bank changed its name to Sens Bank

In English, the bank will now be called Joint Stock Company Sense Bank

Today, Alfa-Bank in Ukraine is changing its name to Sens Bank, which it has already informed the National Securities and Stock Market Commission about.

Full name in Ukrainian: Joint Stock Company ‘Sens Bank’, says the letter of the credit institution.

It will be recalled that Alfa-Bank shareholders Mykhailo Fridman and Petro Aven were sanctioned. They transferred their rights to the shares of the bank’s Ukrainian branch to other trustees. The NBU appointed Bulgarian economist Simeon Dyankov as an independent proxy.

The board of the Ukrainian branch of the bank decided to abandon the Alfa-Bank brand in order to have nothing to do with the aggressor country, even at the level of associations and the brand operating in Russia.

Alfa-Bank received ‘four stars’ in Mind’s 2021 bank viability rating, which testified to the bank’s stable level of viability.

‘Alfa’ ranked sixth among Ukrainian banks in terms of assets and eleventh in terms of financial ‘health’. As of January 1, 2021, the bank’s assets amounted to UAH 97.5 billion, which is 35.6% higher than last year.
