On April 15, the world’s largest transport aircraft, the An-124 Ruslan, arrived at an airport in Poland. According to the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, the plane is transporting a battery combat module of the Naval Missile Unit. This equipment is intended to participate in the international military exercise SeaShield24, which is taking place in Romania.
SeaShield24 exercises take place in the Danube Delta and the Black Sea coastal areas. They are focused on preparing the military to act against illegal activities at sea and on rivers, as well as on ensuring maritime rescue and critical infrastructure security. According to NATO representatives, the main goal of the exercise is to neutralize potential threats in the maritime and river environment. The exercises will last until April 21, bringing together military personnel from different countries.
