Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrate combat use of French TRF1 howitzer
Artillerymen of the Azov Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine demonstrated the combat use of the 155-mm TRF1 howitzer. They posted photos of the French cannon on Facebook.
According to the military, the French howitzer is showing excellent results. It is capable of hitting targets with extreme precision. TRF1 destroyed armored vehicles, D-30 howitzers and enemy infantry.
Out of five shells, three hit the target. The two remaining shells land in the target area. According to the artillerymen, the TRF1 howitzer is much more accurate than any gun they have ever used before.
TRF1 was developed by Giat Industries engineers in the 70s. Now this company is called KNDS. The artillery crew consists of seven people. A Renault TRM 10000 truck is used to transport the gun. It can hold 56 shells and charges. An M2 Browning machine gun is mounted on the roof of the truck for self-defense.
