Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Soviet 152-mm howitzer 2A65 Msta-B in Russia (video)
After several raids by the Russian Volunteer Corps on the territory of Bryansk and Belgorod regions, the Russian military began deploying additional weapons near the border with Ukraine. In particular, howitzers. One of them was destroyed.
Last week, the 15th separate artillery reconnaissance brigade discovered a 2A65 Msta-B howitzer (NATO classification – M1987). It was located on the territory of the Russian Federation about 7 km from the border with Ukraine.
As a result of a precision strike, the gun was destroyed along with its ammunition. The type of weapon used has not been specified.
As for the 2A65 Msta-B, it is a Soviet 152 mm howitzer whose production began in 1986. It can hit targets at a maximum distance of 24.7 km and 29 km, depending on the type of ammunition.
