Some of the artillery pieces were destroyed by GMLRS precision-guided missiles for HIMARS. All Msti-S were located in Zaporizhzhia region.

The Ukrainian military destroyed 5 Russian Msta-S self-propelled artillery systems within a single farm field. This was reported by OSINT analyst Andrew Perpetua on Twitter.

After analyzing the video of the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, the analyst was able to establish the exact location of the Msta-S battery. It turned out that all of them were destroyed in the area of Heorhiivka in Zaporizhzhia region. They were located about 10-12 km from the front line.

Judging by the scattering of debris in some of the footage, the artillery was destroyed by high-precision GMLRS missiles with tungsten balls. The video shows them flying around the impact site. Such munitions are used by HIMARS and GMLRS.

The analyst also added the coordinates of the destroyed artillery installations:

  • 47.66349, 36.94737;
  • 47.66219, 36.94366;
  • 47.66105, 36.93501;
  • 47.64909, 36.94339;
  • 47.64911, 36.94264.

The photos below show their location.

The Msta-S is a Russian Soviet 152-mm self-propelled artillery unit. It has been in service since 1989. The maximum range of the gun is up to 29 km with an active-reactive projectile.

As a reminder, on June 13, the 129th Brigade of the TRO spoke about the effectiveness of artillery targeting Russian forces with a Leleka-100 drone. The occupiers lost about 20 pieces of equipment.

On June 15, General Staff spokesperson Andriy Kovalev reported on the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhya regions.
