Ukrainian Armed Forces put the bridge over Chongar out of action for months, racists complain about large-scale destruction

Only in the next 15-20 days will the Chongar bridge be examined to begin repairs, because despite the seemingly minor damage, the situation is quite different.

Despite the fact that the bridges across the Chongar Strait on the administrative border with the still-occupied Crimea were not visually damaged after the strike, the reality is quite different.

In particular, local gauleiter Saldo said that the damage to the bridge was “extensive,” and that the bridge would not be restored within the next 15-20 days, but would only be examined in detail. Only after that, the occupiers’ current plans are to start repairs, which means banning its operation for an even longer period.

At first glance, this statement may seem rather strange because the photo shows a piercing of the roadway and some damage to the pillar. But the fact is that the structure could indeed have sustained critical structural damage, including internal structural damage, and, for example, the bridge can no longer support freight traffic.

At the same time, according to recent satellite imagery, the Rashists have already built a pontoon crossing, and this is certainly not the only route from the peninsula to the mainland of Ukraine. In particular, in addition to the land crossing near Armyansk, since November 2022, the enemy has had a route from Crimea to Henichesk and Melitopol, bypassing the Chongar bridges along the Arabat Spit. But, of course, we are talking about a lower capacity compared to the E105 highway.

But the most important thing in this situation is the methodical nature of the attacks, especially since the current internal situation in Russia is extremely conducive to any actions that will spread panic among the regular units of the racists.
