Helicopter eliminated in Bakhmut direction
The second Russian Ka-52 was shot down in the morning.
At 6 a.m., Ukrainian defenders destroyed an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter in the Bakhmut area on the morning of August 17.
This was announced by the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk.
“Minus one racist Ka-52 this morning in the Bakhmut direction!” he wrote in a telegram.
Later, the soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade reported the downing of another enemy Ka-52 helicopter in Zaporizhzhia region.
“The morning of the soldiers of the 47th separate mechanized brigade began with the destruction of a Russian Ka-52 helicopter in the Robotyno area of Zaporizhzhia.”
The enemy “alligator” was spotted by a firing group of an anti-aircraft missile and artillery division at about 07:40 am. The helicopter was shot down by a single launch from a man-portable air defense system.
It is reported that the 47th Brigade’s fighters have already received the 8th “forever landed Ka-52”, which costs $16 million.
