Ukrainian Armed Forces show how they destroyed several Iranian Shahed-136/131 with the help of Gepard anti-aircraft tank (video)
A video of a German Gepard anti-aircraft tank in action in the hands of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been posted on the Internet.
What is known
The video was published by the South Air Command. The video shows the Ukrainian Armed Forces using Gepard to destroy two Iranian Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones. The combat work was filmed on the night of September 7 in Odesa region.
Gepard is a German-made anti-aircraft system used to destroy enemy air and ground targets. The unit is equipped with two 35 mm rifled automatic cannons, a 7.62 mm MG-3 machine gun and an RPK-2 radar station. The Gepard can engage air targets at ranges up to 4 km and altitudes up to 3 km flying at speeds not exceeding 400 m/s (1,440 km/h). The anti-aircraft gun is also capable of destroying ground and surface targets at a distance of up to 4.5 km.
