Ukrainian Armed Forces show off modernized BMP with new combat module and 30-mm automatic cannon
The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) demonstrated an advanced technological design by presenting an infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) with an innovative combat module equipped with a powerful 30mm automatic cannon.The video showing this novelty has generated great interest.
The new combat module installed on the modernized BMP is distinguished by its technical characteristics, which make it more advanced than other similar modules previously used on the modernized BMP-1.
The main development of the new module is the installation of a 30 mm KBA-2 automatic cannon, which significantly increases the firepower of the combat vehicle. In addition, the module is equipped with a 7.62-mm machine gun, a 30-mm automatic grenade launcher and two Barrier anti-tank systems on the sides of the tower. This complex armament makes the combat vehicle multifunctional and capable of effectively performing various tasks on the battlefield.
The benefits of the new module include simplified maintenance due to easier access to key components, an innovative gun, a new weapon system for balancing the weapon unit, as well as improved accuracy and stabilization. These innovations improve the efficiency of the combat vehicle, making it more competitive on the modern battlefield.
