The VAB APC is a French armored personnel carrier developed by Renault and Saviem. Serial production has been underway since the mid-1970s. It is known that 5000 vehicles were produced, 4000 of which are in service with the French army. These machines are also used in 15 countries.
Most often, the vehicle is armed with a 12.7 mm or 7.62 mm machine gun. It is mounted on the roof. The APC can also be equipped with a turret with 20 or 25 × 137 mm automatic guns.
