The mechanic-driver risked his life trying to bring the tank covered with explosives to the enemy positions at a distance of just one shot.

Ukrainian defenders used the trophy kamikaze tank against the Russian occupiers in Zaporizhzhia region. This was reported on Facebook by the press officer of the 128th Brigade, Yaroslav Halas.

The armored vehicle hit a mine, but the explosion caused by the detonation of the planted ammunition was very powerful. Since then, no one has disturbed the Ukrainian infantry from the occupiers’ positions. He emphasized that the most important and dangerous role in the operation was assigned to the driver. The soldier’s task was to bring the tank, which was covered with explosives, to the enemy positions at a distance of only one shot.

Vasyl Dudynets from Mukachevo took on the task. Previously, he worked in the Czech Republic. In early March 2022, the man came to the military registration and enlistment office himself, and later found himself at the front. Halas noted that after Dudynets successfully completed his mission, his comrades began to call him “Kamikaze”.

The mechanic himself understood the risks. He said that he might not return, because if the tank had been hit and the explosives detonated, it would have ended in instant death. Vasyl agreed, and the commanders told him the details.

“This is not the case when you lose an arm and a leg and then your wife or children take you in a wheelchair and bring you water,” the driver emphasized.

The soldier added that it was to fight the enemy that he decided to join the army. In his opinion, it is better to end the war as soon as possible, return home and raise children.
