Ukrainian scientists in their article, which they recently published, claim that they have seen unknown flying objects (UFOs) more than once. They were spotted in the sky over Kyiv.
A preprint of the article was published on the Cornell University archive website arXiv, VICE reports. The research was carried out with the help of two meteor observation stations in the capital and the village of Vynarivka in the Kyiv region.
‘We see them everywhere. We see a large number of objects whose nature is unclear,’ – the article says.
It is reported that scientists have developed an observation technique so that these objects can be detected and evaluated. As a result, two types of them were distinguished: Cosmics and Phantoms.
Cosmics are luminous objects that are brighter than the sky. Scientists gave them the names of birds – swift, eagle, falcon.
Phantoms are ‘totally black objects’ that ‘do not emit and absorb all radiation falling on them.’ Due to the fact that they contrast sharply with the sky, they are easy to detect, as well as to measure the distance between them and the surface.
Researchers do not hypothesize what exactly these objects are, but simply note their observations, separately mentioning their incredible speed. According to scientists, their size is from 3 to 12 meters, and their speed is up to 15 km/s.
