Ukrainian Defense Forces destroy over 90 air threats in five days
Dozens of Shahed-131/136s, three Lancets, two Kalibrs and a helicopter
This week, Russia launched several massive strikes in Ukraine using kamikaze drones. Air defense was able to repel most threats.
On July 10 and 11, the Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 26 Iranian-made Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones and three Russian Lancet barrage munitions. They also managed to shoot down one helicopter (type not identified) and five reconnaissance drones.
On July 12 and 13, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 11 and 20 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones, respectively. Two of the four Kalibr cruise missiles launched from ships in the Black Sea were also destroyed.
Finally, on July 14, Ukrainian air defenders shot down 16 Shahed-131/136 kamikaze drones and seven operational and tactical drones. Thus, in five days, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 88 drones of various types, one helicopter and two missiles.
