Ukrainian military system Delta has successfully passed NATO tests and is ready for integration with Western equipment

Ukraine’s situational awareness system has proven to be interoperable with modern military technologies and is ready for integration with Western equipment, including F-16 fighter jets.

Delta was successfully tested with 10 systems from 15 countries (including 3 systems developed by NATO itself) in June during NATO’s annual CWIX exercise in Poland.

Also, 4 data exchange protocols were tested, which are used for the majority of modern weapons Ukraine receives from its Western partners. The main one is Link 16, which allows Delta to receive data from F-16 fighters.

“This is a powerful step. Thanks to Delta, soldiers can see the battlefield online with the location of enemy forces. This is the only platform in Ukraine that pulls up data from aerial reconnaissance, satellites, drones, the latest technology, stationary cameras, radars, chatbots, etc. All this data allows us to plan military operations efficiently and effectively destroy the invaders,” said Mykhailo Fedorov, head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.

  • Delta is a Ukrainian military system for collecting, processing and displaying information developed by the Center for Innovation and Development of Defense Technologies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
  • According to the developers, the system integrates information about the enemy on a digital map, which is taken from various sources: satellite images, radars, sensors, GPS trackers, and radio intercepts. Users can see what is happening on land, sea, air, space and cyberspace using a laptop, tablet or smartphone.
  • In March 2022, Delta integrated the eEnemy and STOP Russian War chatbots.
