Ukrainian specialists have developed a module that allows you to control a machine gun from a distance of 100 meters
The Ukrainian company devDroid has presented the Wolly portable remote-controlled combat machine gun module, which the military has already tested in combat. The system allows a soldier to control a machine gun from a hiding place at a distance of 100 meters.
The Wolly module is designed to more safely engage unarmored enemy targets, such as vehicles and manpower. It can also be used to observe the battlefield. The combat module is designed to be installed at strongholds, checkpoints, observation posts, firing positions, and is easy to transport.
The Wolly module is equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun, which is capable of targeting the enemy at a distance of up to 1000 meters. In this case, the machine gun operator is in a safe place with a distance of up to 100 meters. The module is controlled by a tablet.
Wolly automatically performs ballistic calculation of shots, which increases accuracy at long range. It can operate autonomously for up to 130 hours. The device’s weight of 30 kg makes it easy to transport and quick to install in another position. The machine gun module is mounted on atripod, which allows it to be placed on any surface.
Wolly was created based on the experience of using the TGP combat module. Compared to it, the new product has a reduced weight, which allows one person to transport the module. The company is also working on integrating the device with artificial intelligence, which increases the efficiency and speed of shooting.
