Ukraine has developed a new lightweight pyrotechnic vehicle PM-L for rescuers based on an Italian multipurpose vehicle.

The car was presented to the rescuers by the Pozhmashina company.

The PM-L will be officially presented at the Protection Technologies/Fire Protection Exhibition to be held in Kyiv on May 28-30.

The vehicle is based on the Italian multi-purpose all-terrain vehicle Tekne Graelion 75 with a 4×4 wheel formula. The pyrotechnic vehicle has been armored with mine protection. The chassis also has a body superstructure with an armored compartment for the transportation of explosive items, which has a folding ramp and a sliding tray. The PM-L is 6730 mm long, 2040 mm wide (without mirrors) and 2700 mm high, and has a gross vehicle weight of 8000 kg. The Tekne Graelion 75 is characterized by excellent off-road performance. It has portal axles with wheel gears that provide a ground clearance of 450 mm. The suspension is leaf spring, with double shock absorbers. The machine is capable of overcoming hills with a steepness of up to 44 degrees, as well as fords up to 800 mm deep (with preparation – 1100 mm).

The Tekne Graelion 75 is powered by a 3.0-liter IVECO turbodiesel engine with an output of 175 hp and a maximum torque of 430 Nm at 1600 rpm. The gearbox is a 6-speed transmission – a choice of manual or automatic Allison. The maximum speed reaches 100 km/h.
