Ukrainian UAVs identify enemy vehicles using Horus AI
A group of Lviv students has developed the Horus app to identify enemy vehicles. According to dev.ua, the applet is based on AI technologies.
The team of students is led by Maksym Radchenko. According to him, military equipment detected by the drone is scanned by the app. Artificial intelligence correlates its width to its length and the shape of the muzzle to its thickness. Based on the data received, the app identifies the equipment. It is able to distinguish between APCs and armored personnel carriers, tanks and engineering vehicles, etc. Along with information about the recognized military equipment, the application transmits its location coordinates.
UAV operators have already tested the students’ app in action. They were satisfied with the test results. The students plan to improve their design. In particular, the app will be able to recognize more types of vehicles.
