Underwater predator in action: video of Manta Ray underwater drone tests released
The American defense company Northrop Grumman has disclosed information about its Manta Ray robotic underwater vehicle by publishing several new videos taken during the drone’s underwater testing off the coast of Southern California.
The drone was commissioned by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
The device is expected to be able to carry out long unmanned missions thanks to “energy-saving technologies” that will help the drone cover significant distances.
