US Marine Corps Deploys Revolutionary TRV150 Drones for Combat Supply

The US Marine Corps is implementing a large-scale modernization of its logistics system by introducing advanced TRV150 cargo drones. This innovative technology enables autonomous delivery of up to 68 kg of cargo at a distance of 70 km, revolutionizing combat supply and minimizing risks to personnel.

Technological Breakthrough in Military Logistics

The US Marine Corps is making revolutionary changes in its combat supply system by implementing advanced TRV150 cargo drones. According to Army Recognition, this innovative technology will significantly improve the efficiency of logistics operations and personnel safety.

TRV150 demonstrates impressive characteristics that make it indispensable in modern military operations:

  • Speed up to 108 km/h and flight range of 70 km
  • Payload capacity of 68 kg for various types of supplies
  • 8-propeller system and replaceable batteries for continuous operation
  • Capability for autonomous flight and remote control

The drone can deliver a wide range of cargo, including water, medical supplies, and ammunition. A distinctive feature of the TRV150 is its versatility in delivery methods – the drone can both land for unloading and drop cargo during flight, which significantly increases its tactical flexibility.

Malloy Aeronautics and SURVICE Engineering, which received the contract for TRV150 production after successful trials in 2019, continue to improve the technology. Meanwhile, the US Army is testing heavier cargo drones with a payload capacity of up to 360 kg and a flight range of 160 km, while Kaman Air Vehicles is developing medium-lift autonomous UAVs for operation in extreme conditions.

By 2028, plans are in place to equip all Marine Corps logistics support battalions with TRUAS systems, which will significantly expand their autonomy and operational capabilities. Successful testing in various conditions, from deserts to the Arctic, has confirmed the reliability and effectiveness of these innovative supply systems.

The implementation of TRV150 cargo drones demonstrates significant progress in modernizing US military logistics. This technology not only increases supply efficiency but also substantially reduces risks to personnel, setting new standards for combat support.
