US military plane crashes over the Mediterranean: what is known

A US Air Force plane crashes over the Mediterranean Sea. It happened on Friday, November 10, during training flights. There is no information about the dead yet.

The incident was reported by the Daily Mail with reference to the European Command of the US Armed Forces (EUCOM). It is stated that the plane, whose model is not specified, “crashed and went down”. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.

“Out of respect for the affected families, we will not publish additional information about the personnel involved. The cause of the training incident is currently under investigation,” the statement said.

However, at this stage of the investigation, EUCOM experts emphasized that there were no signs of hostile activity.

Aircraft accidents involving US Air Force aircraft

This is not a lousy airplane crash by the US Air Force. At the end of August, a Boeing MV-22B Osprey crashed on Melville Island during joint exercises between Australia and the Philippines. There were 23 servicemen on board. Three marines were killed and five others were hospitalized.

Later it became known that another plane crash occurred near Miramar Air Force Base in California. An American F-18 Hornet fighter-bomber crashed. The Pentagon did not disclose the number of casualties and injuries.
